John Deere TECH Program

Overview

The John Deere TECH Program is a two-year degree option under the Agricultural Power Machinery  or Diesel Technology Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. The John Deere TECH curriculum balances classroom theory with hands-on lab work and a paid internship at a sponsoring John Deere Ag or Consturction/Forestry dealership. Students will study diesel engines, powertrains, hydraulics, machine set-up systems, all while becoming proficient in high-tech computer diagnostics, electronics, advanced guidance systems, and proprietary John Deere systems. Students will acquire communication and customer relations skills essential to a successful career as a John Deere dealership service technician.

John Deere Sponsoring Dealership

Students in the John Deere TECH program must be sponsored by an authorized John Deere dealership for their paid internship. Dealers provide students with a hands-on, real-world experience for a minimum of 400 hours. With over 2,000 John Deere dealerships nationwide, students will have a variety of sponsorship options. Students may request assistance in locating a sponsoring dealership.
